LINCOLNSHIRE GOLDWING REGION.

Mark (Sandy) Sands

Hi, my name is Mark Sands, probably better known as Sandy in the GWOCGB and live in Boston. Lincolnshire.

I joined the club in 2012, became Rep for Lincolnshire in 2013 and have worked with my regional members to make the region a place to visit by members from across the country. We have a wing ding yearly and the superb Skegness light parade/social weekend also on a yearly basis. Plus lots of charity displays and local ride-outs, people love to see the Goldwings wherever they, a great feeling. Our charity is ‘LIVES’ a first responder professional team that work along side the emergency services 24hr--365days a year. Amazing group of dedicated individuals putting people first!

Personally I try and get to as many events as possible as my business allows travelling across the country meeting numerous friends old and new. From May to October there’s always somewhere to go to meet other Goldwingers and there’s nothing more pleasing than going to another regions event and been made welcome. The gwocgb is a fabulous club to be part of with help always on hand if needed. National Committee members and the dedicated Regional Reps are always approachable.

In Lincolnshire I invite Goldwing riders whether members or not to come along to our monthly gatherings to meet other like minded riders/pillions, so why not come and say hello. With a joint membership less than a £1 per week  most people join the club after their first visit. A detailed help guide, free when joining means your never far away from a member anywhere in the country should you need assistance whilst out on your Goldwing.

With almost 40 members in Lincolnshire we have a varied range of bike and trikes including some early 1000cc wings, personally I own a 1200sei (very rare) 34 years old and a 1500 trike that’s 32 years old. You will always be welcome in Lincolnshire at our Market Rasen, HQ. LN8 3HZ.

Check the www.lincswings.co.uk website for meeting dates.

My contact details are on the owners club website www.gwocgb.co.uk and www.lincswings.co.uk

With 2020 being impossible to organise and run events due to the covid virus I can only imagine 2021 being amazing and full on fun………

‘look forward to seeing you soon’

Take care…. Sandy
