Nine members of Lincs Wings, mounted on 5 Goldwings; 2 GL1500s and 3 GL1800s, met at the Friendly Farmer Restaurant in Newark at 0930 am on Sunday the 7th July 2013 before setting off to the the famous biker haunt, the Ace Cafe in London.
Led by Ian and Sue with Mark and Debbie as "Tailgun Charlie" with Ron and Dee, Trevor and Marion, and Dave, riding solo, making up the middle of the convoy. Travelling at a comfortable speed, just within the legal limits, the convoy arrived at the Cafe just after 12 noon which was a creditable effort considering there was a comfort break at Peterborough for about 20 minutes.
Despite the heavy London traffic, on a scorching Sunday, the group managed to stay together and upon arrival at the Cafe were marshalled to a very nice location on the Cafe parking area. The riders then enjoyed some well earned drinks, non-alcoholic of course, and some very well presented food.
The Ace Cafe, for once, was not packed to the rafters and the Wings attracted a great deal of attention, as usual, amongst the crowd. Meanwhile we had time to wander around and enjoy the day.Debbie and Sue feeling the horse power !!

An immaculate GL1000 worthy of mention.
Overall we had a very well organised and pleasant day out in the sun.
