Farewell to Dick Young

Dick and Pat Young have been long time members of Lincswings Region, playing an active role in our events and ride-outs since they joined in 2011. Dick was always ready to lend a hand with marshalling and security at our Wing Dings and Light Parades whilst Pat was a willing volunteer in the inscription tent and anywhere else that needed her support.  They were both friendly and outgoing bikers who were always willing to take part.  However,  Dick had a massive heart attack a few years ago that landed him in hospital where he underwent a substantial heart operation.  He did recover quite well but he found that biking was no longer a hobby that he could pursue due to his reduced state of health.  Consequently, Dick and Pat withdrew from Club activities in 2017 and sold their cherished Yellow Belly Trike.

Sadly Dick passed away earlier this month with another massive heart attack.  Both Dick and Pat are sadly missed from the Club and we extend our sincere condolences to Pat on the loss of her husband.

Dick's funeral will be held at Boston Crematorium on 29th June 2022 at 10.30am.
All those wishing to see Dick off on his final journey are invited to attend.
