Lincs Wings held their 2017 Wing Ding once again at Market Rasen Cricket Club and once again the theme for the weekend was 'Chill and Chat'. So the weekend was just an opportunity for friends to reunite, have a beer and relax. Despite the brilliant company and the excellent support of the Cricket Club Staff, the weekend did turn out to be a bit damp and campers were having to dry out tents after nights of rain. However, if the weekend was wet on the outside, it was also wet on the inside as friends chatted and enjoyed the Club house. On Saturday, Mark led a rideout (with Doug as the 'tail end Charlie') which toured the Lincolnshire country roads and ended up at the Blyton Ice Cream Parlour. Sunday was the Wellie-wanging competition which then finished with presentations.
During the weekend, Sue, Debbie and Jayne manned the Inscription table, whilst Martin and Christine organised and ran a 'tube raffle'. The Cricket Club Manager and his Staff were superb in their support for the weekend and the food was excellent. Meanwhile Sandy could be seen racing around the site making sure all went well, when he wasn't meeting and greeting local dignitaries.
