Lincs Wings Social Weekend 2 - 5 Oct 2026.
The Lincs Wings Social Weekend was the second of its kind running from Friday to Monday 2 - 5 Oct 2026. The weather for the weekend was unseasonably splendid so many took the opportunity to enjoy a final fling on their wings before autumn sets in. Wingers began arriving on Friday at the Golden Palm Caravan Site. Caravans had been booked since our Social weekend last year and we also had the fun of sharing the weekend with the Triumph Owners Association.
Helpers began to show up at the Club House on Saturday morning, as we laid out cakes and coffee, together tombola prizes. The fund raising ladies for MacMillan Nurses were all there helping to lay out the goodies, ably assisted by Golden Palm Staff, and then the event finally opened at 10.00 am.
The Coffee and Cakes event went very well and was supported by other Golden Palm holiday makers. By lunch time we were all well and truly stuffed with cakes and coffee, but highly satisfied with the event.
Sunday provided a most welcome break as many members attended the superb carvery in JWs Bar, across the road from the Camp Club House. The weekend also gave everyone the chance to relax have a little bevy and just catch-up and chat.
Our thanks to everyone that attended and we hope to see you and others next year. Please note for your diaries that next year's Social weekend will be held between 8 - 10 Oct 2027 so that it does not conflict with the Ride to the Wall event held each year. Caravan bookings are now open at the Golden Palm.

Mark and Debbie sent in pictures from their visit to Llandudno for this year's Light Parade. Debbie reports that they had a total 99 inscriptions. The light parade itself was excellent with lots of people watching.
On Saturday they took the bus up to the great Orme. The large white building on top of the Orme was a radio relay station from Holyhead to Liverpool during the war.
The Llandudno Light Parade raised £4000 for the Air Ambulance.
The Mayor elected to get her photo taken on Mark's bike.
Here are some photos from the weekend.
