Market Rasen Village Fete - 16 Jul 2017

Market Rasen once again held their Village Fete at the Cricket ground and Lincs Wings were invited to bring along a few bikes to display.  Unfortunately, many of us were away or busy with other endeavours but we ended up with Martin on his GL1000, with Stephen and Mark with their GL1800s.  The Fete was well attended and had many sideshows and stands as well as a bar and barbeque.  Although the weather threatened to turn, the day remained warm but cloudy.  So overall, we few had a good time and entertained many visitors asking about our bikes.

Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance - 9 July 2017

A group of Lincs Wingers assembled at the WAVE carpark, opposite Waddington Air Base on 9 July.  They were met by the Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance when it flew in to receive our donation of £500, collected over the past year for their charity.  Seen here are Doug & Sue, Trev & Marion, Stephen & Lorraine, Martin & Christine, Ian & Sue , Mark&Debbie, Dick & Pat and Larry.  Once again our thanks and praise go out to the Crews and Staff of the Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance for the invaluable service they provide in our rural area.

Boston Bike Nite - 6 July 2017

The Boston Bike nite was another roaring success with bikes coming in from miles around.  Lincs Wings had our regular parking slot on Wide Bargate.  We had 2 Trikes and 2 Bikes (Dick&Pat, Martin&Christine, Stephen&Lorraine, Trevor &Marion) plus 8 other from outside the Region. All in all a nice line up to be admired by the crowds.

Sussex Wing Ding -  24/25 Jun 2017

Well folks have been away at many different venues this month but so far its just Sandy who took time to send in some photos.  This weekend he enjoyed the hospitality of Sussex Wings representing Lincs Wings by flying the flag.  Sussex had a total of 70 inscriptions and their rideout to Eastbourne was a little bit damp to say the least.  Sandy enjoyed a 440 mile round trip and got back to civilisation (Lincolnshire) by 1900 on Sunday after skirting a big accident on the M25.  The joys of riding at the weekend !  Cheers and thanks for the update Sandy.

Martin and Christine - 28 May 2017

On this day only 40 years ago, Martin and Christine were married.  So they decided to invite all their friends around for one of their classic garden parties.  Martin of course is famed within Lincs Wings for his 'Golden Boots, which he displayed with pride at the last monthly meeting.  Once Stephen and Lynne showed up on their Wing, in appropriate biker gear, Martin slipped in to put on his golden boots.  Later we were joined by Stephen and Lorraine and we enjoyed a most pleasant Sunday afternoon.  Congratulation Martin and Christine and here's to the next 40 years.

Nine Lincs Wingers attended the Border Wing Ding between 20-22 May.  Once again Border put on an excellent weekend with great company, good camping and a super ride-out.  So thanks once again Border for all your efforts.  Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Country Park Inn - 7 May 2017

Lincs Wingers met at Langworth hall on 7th May for our monthly meeting, which was well attended including 2 newcomers, Steve and Lorraine from Grimsby who  intend to join GWOC and the Region.  Sandy opened the meeting at 10.30am and gave us an update on the AGM he had attended in April as well as discussing the regional business.   After the meeting, 3 trikes and 4 bikes (plus Caroll on her ST1100) set off with Sandy in the lead to head up to the Humber Bridge and to have lunch at the Country Park Inn.  We had a great ride up there, using many country back roads and arrived at the Country Park Inn for just after 13.00.  Fourteen of us had a reserved table all to ourselves and enjoyed a great carvery lunch.  As we departed the Foreshore, we posed for a photo with the Humber Bridge in the background.  A great day out and a big thank you to Sandy for a well led ride-out.
